Snacking
My favorite type of snack is probably ice cream. The reason is because you can put all types of toppings on it and it is nice and cold that can be eaten at any time. It is also very filling of you know how much is needed.

The cold weather
I like this time of the year because I never really get that cold and we get out of school for like 2 weeks. I also like to go sledding with my cousins and then we usually go to there house and make some hot chocolate. Then we stay inside for a couple of hours and then go back outside to have a ice ball fight.

This weekend
This weekend i am going to hang out with my mom for the first time in about a month. We will probably go to a movie and then we will more likely go to the bowling alley. Which I know I'll win because I am the best a bowling, and she sucks. Then we will go home and eat a good supper.

Technology
I think that technology has made my life better because if you need an awnser to a question that you cant find in a book it takes about 2 seconds to find it on the internet. Technology has also mad more things high tech like cars and machines. Without technology our economy would be even worse than it is now because we wouldnt have such effecient factorys.

If you had one wish
If I had one wish i would wish to be in the pro hockey league because i have always liked hockey and have always wanted to go pro. If I went pre I would want to be on the St. Louis Blues team so I could stay close to home and plus they have a pretty good team as it is. With me on there we might just get a little better too.

My Car
The reason i cant live without my car is because I need it to get to work. If i didn't have my car I would have to walk about 15 miles to get to work and that would take forever. Plus I need it to get to town when I need to. If i couldn't do that we wouldn't have any food or whatnot.

Significance of the election outcome
I think since Obama was elected it will be a good start to ending the racism in this country. Obama worked to get where he is now from nothing but just enough money to start the campaign. The first term of his election i think is going to be fixing the economy and trying to end the war. I think with a black president will be a great opening in our history and future for this country to try to get more competitive elections for now on.

Election Day
The reason election day is so important is because it determines the president of the united states and then determines what type of decisions that are going to be made later in the next four years. If we choose the candidate that is not best for the job we are going to be in a state of mishap and misery. If we choose the correct candidate the we might just be able to get out of the war and get our economy back up and running.

Americas Dependence on Foriegn Oil
America spends more than $200,000 per minute on foreign oil, and $13 million per hour. Of the $54 billion trade deficit reported in August, more than a fifth or $12 billion is from imported crude oil. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan has called the higher value of imported oil a tax on U.S. citizens that has cost us three quarters of a percent of our economic output in 2004. The NRDC analysis considers oil demand and supply projections and how our current policy of oil dependence effects our economy and security.
Other countries will increasingly compete with the U.S. for the oil available to export. Consumption by industrializing nations will double over the next 25 years, from 15 to 32 million barrels a day. To meet projected world demand of 118 million barrels a day in 2025, global oil output would have to expand by more than 50 percent, 40 million barrels per day between 2002 and 2025.
With stubbornly high prices, the U.S. economy is feeling the drag of dependence. In the first nine months of 2004, the U.S. exported $72.5 billion for oil. Every day the U.S. pays out $390 million for foreign oil, with half of every dollar going to OPEC and a quarter to the Persian Gulf. While some of those dollars could make their way back into the U.S. economy, recent trends suggest that those paid out to OPEC will not be reinvested here. And OPEC countries are profiting handsomely from surging oil prices; in fact, they are expected to pocket $300 billion by the end of the year.
Arab OPEC states supply the United States with 2.5 million barrels per day, 25 percent of our daily imports. Unless things change the future holds more of the same. The Middle East countries hold two thirds of the world's proven oil reserves. By 2025, the Middle East is expected to supply 36 percent of the world's oil, with OPEC as a whole producing 46 percent.

Are fast food resturants better than homemade food
I think if you have the time to make a homemade meal then you should because if you eat fast food it is usually covered in grease. At home you can always think of another way to cook something like grilling or stewing. Also if you eat at a fast food place you could get some kind of desiese because of the people don't do health requirements.

Do you use a IPod or an MP3 player
I use an IPod because there is more space and more room to put music or vidios on it. Th last 2 mp3 players i had wiped out my computer and fell apart in the few months that I had them. The reason that IPods are so much better are becasue they have more room to hold picture or vidios unlike mp3 players which can only hold music. Plus IPods can also connect to the internet.

Who do you think will win the Series
Will the Phillies win or will the Rays win. I think that the Phillies are going to win because the rays have lost more games and in the series so far they have only won one game. The Phillies are up three games and should be able to win by the sixth game. Unless the Rays can win the next three in a row. Which wining three in a row after losing two in a row is highly unlikely.

The History of Halloween
Halloween one of the odest holidays in the world, and is still celebrated in several countries around the world. Some countries dont call it halloween they sometimes call it All Souls Day, or All Saints Day. This supersticous and frightening night actually originated from a catholic church which is a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve on November 1st which is the catholic day to honor the saints.
Trick or Treating originated on the day of Samhain otherwise known as the end of Summer, where the Druids beleived that the dead would couse panic and turmoil if they were not appeased. So the people in the villiage would give the druids food as they went house to house collecting.
The witch is a very important symbol of halloween. Being a which was nothing but poor people walking around the world with a broom but they were covered in an ointment which confused the mid and numbed the feet which gave them the feeling of floating in the air.

Do you think games ruin childrens lives
I dont think that games ruin childrens lives because the way that children play the game is mostly to releive stress and to releive anger. Most parents say that video games dont teach anything and thats not true in most games it is a tactical thought that will win the game for you. Like in checker you have to make a sacrificial move to get three jumps on the opponent. And in a action game it is how fast you can think to be able to stay alive. Games are actually more helpfull to human life than most people would think. They help with thinking and they help test your mind.

Standard Testing
In my opinion of standardized testing, I think that we need to have tests that can grade on our abbilities of reading and what not. The reason behind the testing is to see how well you are going to do outside of school and college. I mean whats it going to hert to sit down for a couple of hours and take a test that might better your intelect. Many people think that having to take a test is stupid because they dont want to take the time and actually try to get the awnsers correct. So they completely bomb the test by awnsering the questions as fast as they can to get out of the building. The reason behin the testing is to provide a systematic procedure for describing behaviors, whether in terms of numbers or categories. It's not like they just pull questions out of thin air they get the items from experience, either by experiment or observation, rather than theory.

The best movie in America Today
I would say that hancock is the best known movie in america because of all the great action and the advanced motion picturing. The reason I say this is because with all the action in the movie it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for something new to happen. When the end of the movie comes up and all the other heros around the world come out of hiding it just puts the movie into place. If the writers that came up with this movie could come out with a sequal i think it would please just about everyone that saw the first movie.
